How does easy float work?
Easy float improves the final surface durability, finish, and quality by reducing surface laitance (the layer of cement dust, lime and sand fines that appear on the surface of concrete). This is achieved by pushing a long, narrow float blade on the end of a knuckle handle and pole over the surface of the wet concrete. The knucklehead allows the blade to be angled for complete control over the finish. Additionally, the lightweight magnesium alloy blade prevents warping, and the rounded corners on the float head reduce track marks. For a smooth finish, repeat the trowelling step two or three times, letting the concrete harden a bit between each pass.
